Brothers:
Hard to believe it's March of 2017 already! And still more surprising, March 1st is Ash Wednesday of our Lenten season! Didn't we just put the Christmas decorations away?
Yes, time seems always to be flying by and yet I often find myself procrastinating in taking care of serious matters, like my prayer life, my spiritual endeavors, works of ministry, evangelization, etc. I act like I have all the time in the world, and I don't! None of us do!
The Church gives us the season of Lent as a time to address the spiritual realities of our existence in a more focused andddetermined way. More prayer, more penance, more alms giving, all these are ways to convert our hearts, change our sinful behavior and re-dedicate ourselves to proclaiming the Gospel. Not only is this our Christian duty but it is our promised obligation as Knights of Columbus.
Please take every opportunity brothers to observe our parish services designed to make us holy and to increase grace for our souls and success of our ministries.
May God bless us and may Mary keep us always in His love!
