Happy Father's Day!

June is a month that will remind many of you of your primary vocation, given to you by Almighty God; that of a father!

The world needs more than ever, your witness as a Catholic father; loving, nurturing your children, continuing to be great examples of faith, patience, hope, love and devotion. It matters not how old your children or grandchildren are, they need you in their lives witnessing to the Christian values of fatherhood and family life. This truly can change the world!

Be a person of prayer in their presence, worship together as a family, be interested in their dreams, celebrate their accomplishments, console them in their disappointments and mirror the Father in heaven for them so that they are not only loved by you but by Almighty God, the Father, in heaven, for all eternity.

Happy Fathers Day to all my brother Knights!

May God bless us and may Mary keep us always in His love!

Brothers:

Hail Mary full of grace!

The month of May is traditionally dedicated to our devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary, and all the more should it be for us Knights, as she is the Queen of our Order.

What a beautiful relationship is offered to us through Mary as our Mother, the same relationship she has with Christ our Savior. We would do well to cultivate a relationship with Mary and in doing so, deepen our relationship with our brother, Jesus Christ.

Where is that Rosary you received at your degree ceremony?  Is it in your pocket, with you wherever you go?  Is it in your car so you might pray it while traveling for work or pleasure?  Is it on your night stand so you might pray it as a thanksgiving for another day?  We have so many opportunities given to us each day to cultivate a Marian Spirituality through praying part or all of the rosary.

Do we know the Glorious Mysteries, the Joyful Mysteries, the Sorrowful Mysteries, the Illuminous Mysteries and how they relate to the mystery in our own lives?  If not, then now is the time to learn them or re-learn them and apply their meaning to our life.

Mary never points towards herself. But instead always leads us towards her Son. Let us follow that lead by endearing ourselves to her in prayer and virtue.

May God bless us and may Mary keep us always in His love!
