Holy, Faithful, and Thankful

November is a busy month Spiritually.

Brothers, we are entering into the month of November with its usual spiritual BANG!  Nov. 1st we celebrate ALL SAINTS DAY. On this day we recall all those who have attained that for which we all hope, eternal life with Almighty God. One thing we must remember is that the saints did not become saints after they died or because the Church has declared them saints.  The saints are saints because they lived a life of holiness while here on earth. They converted or changed their lives from ways of sin and lived good and wholesome lives serving God through serving their neighbors. They raised families, formed religious orders, ministered on the streets, in schools, hospitals, market places, any place God called them and they did it joyously, knowing they were doing God's Will. They are given to us, to inspire and intercede for us that we might do the same and join them.

Nov. 2nd we celebrate ALL SOULS DAY, when we recall all those who have gone before us and now await the disposition in Eternal Life that is due them. It's a wonderful day to resume prayer for all the deceased members of the Church, especially those in purgatory, being prepared to enter Heaven with Almighty God. Remember those loved ones in your families, your parish, the Order. We can and should remain intimately connected in prayer with all those awaiting God in Eternal life, we are all STILL members of the Church.

Towards the end of the month, we have the opportunity to celebrate the patriotic feast of THANKSGIVING. Our whole faith, especially the celebration of the Eucharist, should be a celebration of Thankful hearts for the gifts given to us, and should be expressed religiously, spiritually and patriotically by all of us as faithful KNIGHTS. Take your family to Church to thank God for his blessings; recall how blessed we are to live in freedom here in the U.S., recall that this is possible because of the faithfulness and giving of many before us and commit yourselves to always being thankful for all that God has blessed us with.
Please take the opportunity offered in the celebration of these special days, to recall your Baptism, your Catholic Faith, your duty and your calling as Knights to be Holy, Faithful, Thankful so that all of us shall live forever with Almighty God in Heaven!

May God Bless You and May Mary Keep You Always In His Love!
